EU Parliament Sub-Committee endorses ‘Omnibus I’ changes to scope of CSRD and CSDDD
On 13 October 2025, the European Parliament’s Legal Affairs Committee voted in favour of a new legislative package aimed at simplifying sustainability reporting and due diligence obligations for companies operating within the EU, which are part of the European Commission’s broader ‘Omnibus I’ simplification initiative. These proposals would significantly change the scope of the CSRD and CSDDD.
